Perinatal consultation (before or after childbirth)

The perinatal consultation service offers expectant parents support during pregnancy, preparation for childbirth and follow-up after the delivery (postpartum period).

Your consultation with the nurse will provide you with support, advice and answers to your questions and concerns. You can also get help with managing specific health problems.

The following services can be offered during a consultation:

• Management of nausea and vomiting
• Vitamin supplementation
• Birth preparation
• Birth and delivery planning
• Breastfeeding
• Gestational diabetes
• Clinical examination of mother and newborn
• Support in dealing with postpartum depression
• Sexuality
• Other: breast pumps, nipple shields, creams, etc.
