Happy Fitness takes on health challenges for the Lolë White Tour

Les défis santé de Happy Fitness pour le Lolë White Tour

On August 12, we’ll be taking part in the Lolë White Tour, a musical gathering of thousands of yogis of all levels who’ll be grooving and moving together outdoors. Inspired by the White Tour’s “individual and collective wellness” approach, we’ve decided to take this opportunity to make small but significant changes to our daily routine.

Small actions can add up and have a positive effect on our physical and mental well-being.

Interested in joining us? Brunet’s Active Health Challenge is a fun, user-friendly tool that can help you achieve your personal goals!

The concept is simple. Simply fill out a questionnaire on your habits related to the three pillars of wellness: diet, physical activity, and mental well-being. It’s free and only takes a few minutes. Once you’re done, you’ll have access to a number of surprising and amusing articles. You’ll also get a score and a list of challenges. A useful tool when you want to make a change but don’t know where to start. With the Active Health Challenge, you can progress at your own pace. It’s also a great way to stay motivated thanks to a virtual coach that’s always by your side!

Défi de Sophie :

Sophie’s challenge:

I love to run, so I’ve got the cardio portion covered! However, the Active Health Challenge reminds me that I often neglect to do strengthening and stretching exercises. Instead of saying “I should do it”, I need to start actually doing it!

I know I should stretch because I have dealt with ankle and knee injuries in the past. Not only were they painful and prevented me from enjoying my favourite sport, they also led to costly physical therapy! Did I enjoy being hurt? Of course not!

Without a doubt, the best way to prevent these injuries is to ADD strengthening and stretching exercises to your routine. This is a major reason why “I should do it” is going to turn into “I’m doing it”! Thanks to this challenge—which I plan to continue after the Lolë White Tour—I’ll be able to run comfortably and happily for the rest of my life!

«Do strengthening and stretching exercises to your routine.»

Active Health Challenge actions:

  • Stretch for five to 10 minutes every day
  • Replace 30 minutes of screen time with exercise (lifting weights!)

Chloé’s challenge:

When choosing my challenge, I thought about what inspired me in others. I realized that I’m not usually impressed by other people’s actions, but by their attitude.

I admire successful people who are humble, who have a positive attitude during good times and bad, and who don’t take themselves too seriously. In my mind, these attributes are worth more than anything achieved with a condescending attitude. In short, my challenge is to maintain a positive attitude as I strive to achieve my goals.

« Maintain a positive attitude as I strive to achieve my goals. »

I believe it’s important to keep in mind that we choose to take on challenges for ourselves. We need to remember what motivates us and that the goal is to improve our own quality of life. For instance, Sophie has decided to stretch every day. She’s doing it for her own reasons, she wants to keep running and remain injury-free, nobody’s forcing her! She wants to keep having fun practicing her favourite sport. She’ll be able to succeed at her challenge if she keeps a smile on her face rather than complain about it every time. You need to keep your challenge fun, otherwise, what’s the point?

For my part, I want to cultivate a positive attitude. To do so, I’ve decided to choose two Brunet Active Health Challenge actions. They’ll help me enjoy every moment rather than try to urgently get one task after the other checked off (which I tend to do!). Every day, my virtual coach reminds me to take the time to enjoy life’s everyday pleasures. I love it! It’s a great way for me to stop and take a break and put things in perspective.

Active Health Challenge actions:

  • Keep the day’s happy moments in mind
  • Take a break during the day

It’s always motivating to set new challenges, but it’s even more exciting to accomplish them on a day-to-day basis. As we always say at HappyFitness, a healthy lifestyle is the accumulation of repeated small actions. This is exactly what the Active Health Challenge is: a great way to integrate small actions into your everyday life.

Come see us at the Brunet booth on August 12 at the Lolë White Tour to find out how our challenges turned out! We’ll be there to talk to you about your challenges and answer any questions about the three Active Health Challenges pillars!

We look forward to seeing you there!
