Keep in mind that no matter how you choose to do it, the important thing is to make sure you exercise. Fortunately, with the huge selection of activities and courses available today, it’s easy to find one you like. Are you the traditional type? Whether you like walking, jogging, biking, swimming, dancing, yoga, Pilates, boot camp training, hiking, mountain climbing, or skiing, there’s always something going on during the year.

But if you want to try something a bit different, check out these five original activities!

SkyVenture

Even though this take places indoors, it still provides a boost of adrenaline. Indoor skydiving is now accessible to everyone, but that doesn’t make it any easier! You’ll most likely be slightly sore the next day but it is a small price to pay for skydiving… inside SkyVenture!

Parkour

Jumping, running, climbing. That’s what parkour is all about. It’s the art of movement. It’s both a physical and technical activity and can be practiced by any skill level.

When you think of parkour, you might think of people jumping over fences and climbing buildings. However, it’s possible to get a taste of the sport and learning the basics. Many locations now offer beginner lessons, including Montreal, St-Jérôme, Sherbrooke, and Quebec City.

AcroYoga

AcroYog combines the spiritual focus of yoga with acrobatics. It’s more physical and demanding than traditional yoga and should be practiced with caution to avoid injuries.

Because it requires balance and teamwork with a partner, AcroYoga can help you sharpen your focus and encourages cooperation.

You can try it for yourself in Montreal, Laval, and Quebec City.

Trampoline fitness

If you loved jumping on a trampoline as a kid, you might want to try a trampoline fitness class. It’s a relatively new concept that allows you to work out your muscles and cardio while avoiding pressure on your joints.

Because the surface absorbs approximately 80% of the impact, it’s a smooth way to jump in the air! Here are a few places you can sign up for classes: Montreal, Boisbriand, and Quebec City.

Pole fitness

Inspired by pole dancing, pole fitness is a lot harder than it seems. It combines dance and acrobatics. Classes focus on flexibility and strength, especially in the upper body. This is where pole fitness stands out, because most activities focus on strengthening the lower body. In brief, it’s a fun activity to try with friends and perfect for anyone wanting to work out without even realizing it! You can try pole fitness in Montreal and Quebec City.

In sum, trying a new physical activity can be really fun. That being said, you don’t need to follow the latest trends because simply going on a long walk or jogging in the park near your house are also great ways to get some exercise! The important part is to maintain your healthy lifestyle habits. No matter how you choose to do so!
